Questions
Before you ask
How is this different from a refund analytics app?
Analytics apps count refunds: how much revenue you lost, which products come back most, trends over time. They read the refund record, which says you meant to pay someone back. We read the payment transaction underneath it, which says whether the money actually moved. A refund that failed still appears as a completed refund in an analytics report.
Does it work with my payment provider?
Any of them. It reads the transaction record your platform already keeps against your orders, so Shopify Payments, Stripe, Checkout.com, Adyen, PayPal and the rest all work the same way.
Will it slow my store down?
No. Nothing runs on your storefront, your theme or your checkout. It reads order data through the platform’s admin API and never writes anything back.
What can it actually see?
Order numbers, refund amounts, gateway names, transaction statuses and failure reasons. Not customer names, emails, addresses or phone numbers — those fields are never requested.
Does it handle multiple currencies?
Yes. Amounts are shown in the currency of the refund, and totals are kept separate per currency rather than added together. Currencies without decimal subdivisions, like yen and won, are formatted correctly.
What languages is it available in?
English only at the moment. It works on any store in any market — the interface and the alert emails are in English.
What if a refund fails at three in the morning?
You get the email then, and it is waiting when you start. Failures alert immediately rather than on a daily digest, because the customer is already waiting.
Can it tell me about refunds that already broke?
Yes. It reads your recent order history when you connect a store, so anything already sitting failed or stuck appears on your first visit.
What happens when I pass the order limit on the free plan?
Monitoring carries on and nothing is lost. You will be prompted to move to a paid plan, and can stay on free until you choose to.
What happens if I uninstall?
Monitoring stops immediately and no further alerts are sent. All data held for your store is erased shortly afterwards.
I am not on Shopify. How do I connect?
Create an account here and connect the store with read-only credentials you generate in your own admin: an API token on BigCommerce, REST API keys on WooCommerce, an integration’s client id and secret on Shopware. There is no plugin or app to install on any of them, and monitoring runs on our servers, so it keeps working on a quiet store where the platform’s own scheduler would not. See the platform notes.
Still deciding?
The free plan answers the question this page cannot: whether a refund has already failed on your store. It reads the last 60 days on the way in.
